Extended School Year Support Staff (Summer)

WSWHE BOCES is currently looking for staff to support our classrooms during our summer program. The purpose of the extended school year program is to prevent student regression by providing consistency and continuity in special education services. All full-time positions will be filled before considering part-time applicants.

EFFECTIVE DATES:
Mandatory Staff Orientation:   July 1, 2026 (Wednesday)
Program Dates:      July 6, 2026 through August 14, 2026
16 Day Work Options (Must work either Option #2 or Option #3 in its entirety) 


ESY EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS:


OPTION #1
July 1, 2026 (Orientation Day) + July 6, 2026 through August 14, 2026
Total of 31 days including orientation.

OPTION #2
July 1, 2026 (Orientation Day) + July 6, 2026 through  July 24, 2026
Total of 16 days including orientation. 

OPTION #3
July 1, 2026 (Orientation Day)   + July 27, 2026 through August 14, 2026
Total of 16 days including orientation.

Leave Without Pay will not be granted.

Staff must be in attendance for Staff Orientation and the first and last days of the program for each option.

During Staff Orientation Day, schedules will be established and staff are expected to set up classrooms. This is voluntary employment which requires a commitment from all applicants to attend all days in the option above including the orientation day.

Appointments will be made pending enrollment confirmation.

Some positions may be filled on a per diem substitute basis pending final enrollment confirmation.
