This role ensures all activities strictly adhere to New York State General Municipal Law and internal BOCES policies. The incumbent will interpret and communicate procurement requirements while identifying the most efficient procurement mechanisms for diverse organizational needs. This position requires independent judgment, initiative, and the ability to deconstruct tasks into actionable steps. A qualified candidate will be an organized, highly accurate problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build strong, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external vendors. The incumbent will strive to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with Federal, State, and BOCES procurement policies. Work is performed under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services and the Director of Business and Management Services. Does related work as required. - Serves as the primary point of contact for vendor and staff inquiries regarding purchase orders and payments, compiling inventory data for tracking software, and the continuous monitoring of purchase order activity;
- Reviews requisitions for accuracy, compliance, and completeness of documents as required for purchasing, responds to questions and explains purchasing policies and procedures to staff;
- Maintains procurement records, prepares a variety of reports, and provides supporting documentation for internal and external audits as requested;
- Resolves complex billing disputes and coordinates with vendors regarding payment status, tax documentation (W-9), and credit memos;
- Facilitates the fiscal year-end closing process by identifying outstanding liabilities, managing accruals, and ensuring all departmental obligations are recorded in the proper fiscal period;
- Prepares purchase requisitions in accordance with internal purchasing procedures.

This position involves executing projects in the area of community relations and public relations. This is creative work requiring imagination and a demonstrated ability in developing interesting and clear presentations with various media. Work is performed under the supervision of the Coordinator for Communication Services. Performs related duties as required. - Writes and lays out print and digital communications, presentations and other public relations material using computer-based applications;
- Creates content for websites and social media and manages school districts’ online reputations;
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with school personnel, so as to provide proactive communication and public information services;
- Assists with information gathering (e.g., research, data compilation, database management) associated with internal and external BOCES public information initiatives and projects;
- Assists education leaders with crisis communications as needed;
- Maintains working relationships with news media and other public individuals.

The work is performed under general direction and in accordance with outlined policies and procedures, with considerable leeway allowed for the use of independent judgment for carrying out the details of the work. Supervision may be exercised over the work of subordinates. Does related work as required. - Plans, assigns and reviews the maintaining and checking of a wide variety of financial records and reports and instructs employees in the specialized details of the work;
- Oversees and assists in the classification of a complex variety of receipts and expenditures and the distribution of costs according to prescribed codes;
- Directs the audit of varied accounts, claims and records and the preparation of reports thereon;
